Experience and Interests
Addie Gardner is a laboratory technician at the Surgical Skills Lab with a background in veterinary surgery, customer service, and research support. Within the lab, she provides support during simulated procedures and assists in the maintenance of the lab space and its inventory. She previously served at the OSU Veterinary Medical center as an assistant in the Small Animal Surgery department, wherein she independently supported after-hours emergency operations during preparatory, intra-op, and recovery stages. More recently she served the role of Customer Service Representative at the VMC, conducting communication between clients and high-volume specialty departments. Beyond clinical settings, Addie contributes to academic research through her volunteer work with OSU’s Chavez Mammal Evolution Lab, processing and preserving mammal specimens, as well as previous volunteer support at the OSU Insectary. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from The Ohio State University and has goals to pursue further education in mycology and museum curation.
