Research
Cells communicate with their environments as well as with one another through cell signaling, which is critical for the survival of organisms. Cells have evolved numerous signaling mechanisms for the transmission of biological information. We aim to understand the logic of cell signaling across membrane using multidisciplinary approaches including biochemical reconstitution, cryo-electron microscopy, X-ray crystallography, cell biology, and molecular pharmacology. In particular, we are interested in elucidating the molecular mechanisms of signaling protein assembly and regulation in inflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
