Background

Lai Wei, PhD, MS, is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Informatics and serves as the program leader of the clinical trials unit in the Center for Biostatistics at The Ohio State University. Dr. Wei joined the Center for Biostatistics in early 2008 after receiving her doctoral degree in statistics from OSU. She is an expert in modeling multiple measures over time and designing group sequential trials and adaptive trials. Dr. Wei collaborates extensively with researchers in the Comprehensive Cancer Center on the design of Phase I and Phase II trials. She serves as a biostatistical reviewer for the CSRC and is a committee member of the Center for Clinical and Translational Sciences DSMB. Dr. Wei is also a biostatistical navigator for the Thyroid/Neurology and Gastrointestinal disease groups as well as the translational therapeutics research program in the Wexner Medical Center. Her methods research has been focused on adaptive clinical trials design and sample size re-estimation for laboratory experiments.
