Research Interests
Dr. Ghoneim's research focuses on identifying novel therapeutic targets to enhance the efficacy of T cell immunotherapies. He is particularly interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms that regulate T cell function and exhaustion during virus infections and cancer. His lab developed novel model systems to study human T cell exhaustion and epigenetics. His goal is to epigenetically reprogram T cells to boost cancer immunotherapy..
