Research Focus
We are cell biologists who study the cytoskeleton of nerve cells and the mechanisms of intracellular transport in axons. Our main focus is the biology neurofilaments in health and disease.
Approaches
We use a broad range of cellular and molecular techniques to study the transport and assembly dynamics of neurofilaments in nerve cells both in cell culture and in vivo. Our core expertise is in light and electron microscopy, live-cell imaging, protein biochemistry, and nerve cell culture. We make extensive use of genetically engineered mouse models.
