Research Facilities
The Department of Cancer Biology and Genetics (CBG) occupies over 31,000 square feet of laboratory space in the Biomedical Research Tower and the Institute for Behavioral Medicine Research. All shared equipment essential for investigations is located within this space or in nearby Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCC) or College of Medicine (COM) space and is available to students, postdoctoral fellows, staff, and faculty in the department. In addition to central dishwashing and sterilization areas, research space includes several walk-in cold rooms and space for large equipment (e.g. ultralow freezers). Animal facilities supervised by a veterinarian are also available.
Shared Resources
Numerous shared resources and core labs are available to CBG members. OSU has several centers including the CCC, the Center for Clinical Research Management, and the Center for Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) that support research and collaborations in the COM and across the university.
