The Ohio Pharmacists Association (OPA) has named Cory Coffey, PharmD, BCACP, BCPP as the Distinguished Young Pharmacist of 2023. The award recognizes a pharmacist who has graduated in the last 10 years and made significant contributions to the profession of pharmacy. The award was presented at the OPA 145th Annual Conference held April 14-16 in Columbus.
Dr. Coffey currently serves as a clinical pharmacist in OSU’s General Internal Medicine Clinics, an Assistant Professor- Practice within the Dept. of Internal Medicine, and the Residency Program Director for Ambulatory Care at the OSU College of Pharmacy. He was recognized for dedicating substantial time teaching and mentoring students, giving back to professional organizations, and volunteering to enhance the community. He was also lauded for prioritizing the evolving relationship between healthcare professionals in different areas of practice through his involvement in interdisciplinary projects.
