Complex Care Clinic Team and OSUMC DignatariesOhio State’s General Internal Medicine (GIM) Division is pleased to announce the opening of a new clinic designed to serve adults who have complex medical conditions that began during childhood. In the Complex Care Clinic, experts from different medical specialties work together to make sure every aspect of the patient’s health is considered. Dr. Katrina Johnson (shown in the center of the photo, 4th from left) serves as clinic co-director with an emphasis on primary care. Dr. Jessica Prokup (5th from left in the photo) co-directs the clinic and focuses on the multispecialty aspect of it. Some of the most common conditions managed by the clinic include congenital heart disease, intellectual and developmental disabilities, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, neurodevelopmental disabilities, genetic disorders, Williams syndrome, and DiGeorge syndrome.

The new Complex Care Clinic is part of Ohio State’s Complex Care Program. The program staff includes Complex Care Case Manager Amy Poling, MSN Ed., RN, LSN (far right in photo). The Complex Care Program involves a range of healthcare providers across different specialties, as well as complex care inpatient services.
