Taru Saigal, MD, and her husband, who also serves as a physician at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, were recently featured in CityScene magazine for their service not only to their patients and to medical trainees, but also to members of their community. In both clinical practice and research, Dr. Saigal and her cardiologist husband, Dr. Saurabh Rajpal, emphasize patient care that is uniquely designed for each individual. As educators, they also follow the philosophy of teaching medical students and residents the importance of tailoring care plans to each patient’s specific needs and circumstances.
They also are quite active in their New Albany community. Both doctors regularly serve on local health-related boards and committees. In addition to their ongoing civic commitments, they recently introduced New Albany to the Diwali Festival, a charitable festival that combines music, art, dancing, food and fireworks.
