Congratulations to Dr. Niki Kokiko-Cochran’s undergraduate mentee, Jessica Mitsch on being selected to participate in the 2022 OSU Undergraduate Research Apprentice Program (URAP)! The URAP is a funding opportunity through the Undergraduate Research & Creative Inquiry office to assist students of all majors and research areas with financial needs while being involved in an undergraduate research project.
Jessica is an undergraduate student working with graduate student, Chris Cotter in the Kokiko-Cochran Lab. Together they are examining the influence of genetic risk factors for Alzheimer’s disease in outcome following TBI. Specifically, Jessica’s project will define sub-acute and chronic effects of traumatic brain injury in mice expressing human APOE3 or APOE4/Trem2R47H.
