• Expose students to a multidisciplinary approach to the practice of Sports Medicine
• Provide experience with common problems encountered in Sports Medicine, including their presentation, diagnosis and management
• Teach and refine musculoskeletal physical examination skills
• Offer familiarity with common procedures used in Sports Medicine such as injection techniques, fracture care and splinting/casting

• Office hours with assigned physician(s)
• Attendance at weekly Sports Medicine conferences
• Attendance for training room coverage with assigned physician
• Attendance at three athletic events over the four-week rotation with assigned physician
• Complete required readings
• Present a written paper on a topic of your choice at the end of the four-week rotation

Every Wednesday from 12:15 to 1:00 pm at the Jameson Crane Sports Medicine Institute
The first three Wednesdays will be interactive didactic sessions. On the last Wednesday of the month, students will present a 15-minute written or PowerPoint presentation on a sports medicine topic of their choice.

The textbooks will be:

Netter Sports Medicine: This will be provided.
