Biography

I am a clinical assistant professor in the department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. As a clinician scientist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), I'm passionate about both clinical practice and research. My work with the Suicide and Trauma Reduction Initiative (STRIVE) allows me to directly impact the lives of individuals struggling with PTSD and suicide risk. Additionally, my research focuses on developing and implementing effective suicide prevention strategies, particularly for marginalized groups, including those with gender and sexual minority identities.

I'm committed to providing compassionate and evidence-based care to individuals who have experienced trauma or are struggling with suicidal thoughts. I am trained in Brief Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Suicide Prevention (BCBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD (PE), Written Exposure Therapy (WET), and am a certified provider in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD (CPT).
