Over 100 Years of Innovation
Since 1916, when George Harding II, MD, first opened the Indianola Rest Home on 18th Avenue in Columbus with six patients, Ohio State has been committed to creating a national model for mental health treatment and care for patients with behavioral and neurological illnesses. Today, Harding Hospital is one of seven hospitals within the medical center. We honored our history in 2016 with a special century celebration. See key events from our past.
