About
Biography
My research aims to better understand mental disorders and what causes them, as well as what new treatments may prove more effective, including both medicine or behavioral therapy. My goal is to promote recovery and resilience and to study mental illness from childhood through adulthood to better appreciate how it impacts individuals differently. My research is concentrated on post-traumatic stress disorder, depression and anxiety disorders, but also includes studies on drug and alcohol addiction, and the connection that stress has with depression and anxiety.
