DeVore_Elliana_720x720The Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery is thrilled to welcome Elliana DeVore, MD, to the Division of Laryngology. Dr. DeVore brings exceptional expertise in voice, airway and swallowing disorders, paired with a unique perspective shaped by her early career as a professional opera singer.

Her clinical focus includes neurogenic laryngeal disorders, early glottic cancer and complex airway anomalies. She is passionate about caring for professional voice users and performers, as well as providing gender-affirming voice services. Her background as a vocalist allows her to tailor treatment plans that respect both medical and performance needs.

Dr. DeVore collaborates closely with Ohio State’s multidisciplinary Voice Center — the only dedicated center of its kind in the region — where specialists work together to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care. This team-based approach ensures patients receive personalized treatment plans that address every aspect of vocal health, from technique and performance to underlying medical conditions.

Beyond clinical care, Dr. DeVore is an active researcher and educator. She has authored more than 25 peer-reviewed articles and several book chapters in laryngology, serves on an international journal editorial board and mentors medical students through research projects. Her academic interests include validating patient-reported outcomes and advancing therapies for neurolaryngeal disorders.

We are excited to welcome Dr. DeVore and look forward to the impact her expertise and passion for voice will bring to our patients and programs.
