Since 2000, the Center for Biostatistics has served as the centralized resource for biostatistics expertise at The Ohio State University. We provide statistical support to biomedical investigators at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, the Cancer Center, the Center for Clinical and Translational Science, the five health sciences colleges and other investigators throughout and outside the university. In addition, our biostatisticians provide support for Nationwide Children’s Hospital through the Biostatistics Resource at NCH (BRANCH). Our goal is to improve the quality of research through close collaboration with investigators.

Why work with the Center?

The advantage of collaborating with a biostatistician at the Center is that our team environment gives you access to a wide range of biostatistical expertise. Biostatisticians in the Center interact and mentor each other, resulting in cross-fertilization of knowledge across multiple areas. Our highly qualified biostatisticians work both individually and in teams to provide high-quality/robust statistical support tailored to the needs of your research.

We offer collaborative biostatistical support and expertise in:

  • Clinical trials
  • High dimensional data
  • Population health and observational studies

We are involved in all aspects of the research process:

  • Design and planning
  • Grant writing/protocol development
  • Implementation
  • Design of data capture/software development
  • Data management and data monitoring
  • Analysis
  • Dissemination of results (abstracts, posters, publications)
