We will then circulate your request among our center colleagues to determine which statistician(s) are able to assist your project. Please ensure you are up to date on the Center's Policies in the meantime.


Hourly Projects:

  • If this is a request to work with a biostatistician at their hourly rate (i.e., no MOU is in place), the assigned biostatistician will reach out to the investigator to meet/discuss project expectations and fee structure prior to beginning work. The biostatistician will use this information to complete a Cost Estimate form in REDCap. Upon completion, the investigator will receive an email with the cost estimate responses attached for review and a link to a 'PI Approval' form in REDCap where they will provide their final signature of approval. After this step, collaboration may ensue.
  • New FY24 Hourly Rates: Junior staff- $110/hr ; Mid staff- $131/hr ; Senior staff- $146/hr ; Faculty- $170/hr

 

MOU Projects:

  • If this is a request to work with a biostatistician who has been assigned to an MOU with your lab, please still fill out the project request form to help us keep track. Once the form is submitted, the biostatistician on the MOU will simply reach out for an initial meeting to discuss project expectations. No cost estimate required. If expectations are agreeable, collaboration may ensue.

PCORnet® is a national resource, funded by PCORI, where high quality health data, patient partnership, and research expertise deliver fast, trustworthy answers that advance health outcomes. The Network supports both observational and interventional research. Researchers at The Ohio State University can access de-identified OSU PCORnet data for research purposes without needing separate approvals. MarketScan

The MarketScan database is a comprehensive source of healthcare claims data, which includes anonymized data from millions of individuals enrolled in employer-sponsored health insurance plans. The database contains information on medical claims, pharmacy claims, enrollment details, and demographic data. Researchers and analysts often utilize MarketScan data for healthcare research, outcomes studies, etc. It provides valuable insights into healthcare utilization, costs, treatment patterns, and patient outcomes across various populations and disease states.
