Mark Drew, PhD
Program Director
Dr. Mark Drew is an Assistant Professor in The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Director of Graduate Education for the Department of Microbial Infection and Immunity. He earned his PhD in Biological Chemistry from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and carried out his post-doctoral research in a Howard Hughes Medical Institute funded laboratory at Washington University in St. Louis.
Amy Kennedy
Program Coordinator
Amy Kennedy began working for the College of Medicine in 2015 and joined the Department of Microbial Infection and Immunity (MI&I) in 2019 as the Assistant to the Department Chair. She plays a pivotal role in supporting the Master of Science in Immunology and Microbial Pathogenesis Program and the Immunology and Immunotherapeutics Ph.D. Graduate Program (I2GP). In this capacity, she oversees the scheduling and coordination of all MI&I courses, ensuring a seamless academic experience for students. Amy also contributes to the Graduate Studies Committee, where her guidance strengthens the department’s academic initiatives.
Beyond her program leadership, Amy is an enthusiastic participant in the Networking, Health, and Wellness Committee. She is a Buckeye Wellness Innovator and a certified Mental Health First Aid Responder, reflecting her commitment to fostering a supportive environment for both students and staff. In 2022, Amy was honored as one of twelve staff members across The Ohio State University to receive the Distinguished Staff Award, the institution’s highest recognition for staff excellence.
