About our obstetrics and gynecology education programs
As part of one of U.S.New & World Report's top ranked medical colleges, Ohio State's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology offers excellent educational programs for medical students, residents and fellows.
Benefit from our redesigned College of Medicine curriculum
Unlike the traditional medical school model of two years of classroom study followed by two years of clinical experience, our redesigned curriculum takes students out of the classroom and into a clinical setting early in their education. The department has played a vital role in establishing and integrating this clinical experience for our students.
Gain experience within a large tertiary medical center
As a tertiary medical center with one of the largest maternal transport services in the country caring for high-risk pregnancies, as well as an oncology service housed within Ohio State’s Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, trainees are exposed to a wide range of clinical problems and pathologic conditions. Students and residents are given the hands-on experience and training necessary to become successful healthcare providers. Lean more about our patient care services.
