Maternal Fetal Medicine
The Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Ohio State University has a large number of exceptional clinicians, researchers and educators. Our services include providing care for people with complicated or “high-risk” pregnancies, with outpatient and inpatient management as well as consultation for patients referred by other obstetrical providers for ongoing prenatal care or pre-conception counseling, and prenatal imaging and diagnostic testing. The division has specific clinical and research interests in diabetes, hypertension, preterm birth, preeclampsia, heart disease, opioid use disorders, infectious diseases, fetal imaging and therapeutics, perinatal epidemiology, obstetric pharmacology and infectious diseases. Our faculty are nationally recognized as leaders and run active research programs in these areas. Moreover, we have an excellent training program in Maternal Fetal Medicine, which provides the best clinical and research training for the next generation of Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists and research training for the next generation of Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists.
