As a member of the College of Medicine Office of Student Life dedicated to holistic student wellness, the Student Financial Service staff ensures that medical students can thrive by providing financial support, education, and empowerment. We assist learners at every stage of their medical school journey by helping them navigate the business of being a Buckeye. Whether it's accessing financial aid, understanding billing, or registering for classes through My Buckeye Link, our team offers both general guidance and personalized assistance tailored to each student’s needs.
Student Financial Services plays a central role in the administration and facilitation of scholarships, grants, and Federal Student Loan awards. In addition, we actively communicate external financial aid opportunities to ensure students are aware of all available resources to support their education and reduce financial barriers.
Our signature initiative, the BUCK$ for Buckeyes Financial Wellness Program, is designed specifically for medical students. This comprehensive program focuses on debt management and financial wellness, equipping students with the knowledge and tools to make savvy, strategic financial decisions. Through expert-led sessions and customized presentations offered during the academic year, we aim to create informed consumers who are confident in managing their financial futures.
Student Financial Services also manages AH-OH (After Hours Office Hours), a virtual service that provides medical students with an opportunity to connect with staff outside of regular business hours.
Medical students are also able to discuss financial and budgeting matters by stopping by the office in 405 Hamilton Hall, emailing medfinaid@osu.edu, or calling 614-292-8771.
