The future of Urology is at The Ohio State University
The Urology residency at The Ohio State University is a rewarding experience that entails a complex interaction of learning through patient care. There is a great balance between educational and clinical responsibilities as well as dedication to learning and personal experience. Our program meets all the American Board of Urology requirements for board certification along with being fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Our faculty is committed to excellence in the clinical training of our urology residents. The majority of our faculty are fellowship trained and national recognized as leaders in their subspecialty. Our graduates have been accepted to prominent clinical and research fellowships of their choice throughout the United States.

Our Mission

Program Highlights
All residents receive:
- Three-volume set of Campbells
- SESAP question bank
- AUA Update series
- AUA annual dues
- OUS annual dues
- Reimburse 50% of surgical loupes
- Educational travel monies available for those who meet criteria
- Two white coats or one white coat and one fleece jacket is provided each year
- Three weeks of paid vacation

Program Prerequisites
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Eligible to receive a medical training certificate by the State Medical Board of Ohio (must have passed Step 1 & 2).
- Completion of successful pre-employment background check and drug screen (completed after match).
How to Apply
- Apply through ERAS by Monday prior to ERAS opening.
- Register for the AUA Match.
- Residency interview dates will be determined each year.
- Residency start date is July 1st each year.
- It is imperative that your application contain a phone number and e-mail address where you can be reached from October through December.
