AAMC Women Faculty Leadership Development Seminars
Early- and Mid-Career Women Faculty

Each year the AAMC holds professional development seminars focused on women physicians and scientists in academic medicine for early and mid-career women faculty. Both seminars cover topics on leadership and career development, negotiation and communication skills, and critical and strategic thinking in the constantly changing world of academic medicine.

Application Process for Mid-Career Seminar, December 2018

The WIMS Committee of the Center for FAME will provide the registration fee for 2 women to attend the Faculty Leadership Development Seminars.

To be considered, prospective applicants should:

  • Submit a statement of interest (max 250 words).

  • Send to: FAME@osumc.edu no later than Monday, September 10, at 5:00 PM

Please indicate why you would like to participate, how you anticipate this will benefit your career, and that if selected, your department will reimburse your travel expenses.

Two awardees will be selected by the WIMS committee and notified by September 28. The awardees will then be required to apply online to the AAMC seminar (registration open August-September).


 

Mid-Career Seminar

Geared for women physicians and scientists at the associate professor level with 8-15 years of academic experience.
