Nuclear Magnetic Resonance

The Cardiac NMR facility is a specialized, non-Core laboratory facility housing two high field, vertical wide-bore 400 MHz and 600 MHz NMR magnets and spectrometers for dedicated use in detecting targeted carbon-13 (13C)-enriched metabolites from tissue extracts and for 13C NMR based metabolic flux measurements from intact, functioning isolated heart preparations from animal models. The facility supports active collaborations with OSU and non-OSU faculty researchers through equipment use fees on funded studies.
