This subspecialty includes innovative neurosurgical approaches to movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor and other conditions.
Minimally Invasive Cranial Surgery
Training includes advanced endoscopic surgical approaches to the brain, base of the skull and upper spine, learning from multidisciplinary specialists.
Neurovascular
Through a comprehensive approach, this program uses both traditional open and endovascular techniques to treat cerebrovascular diseases including brain aneurysms, brain and spine arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), cerebral cavernous malformations, moya moya, extracranial carotid disease and acute stroke.
Pediatric
In partnership with Nationwide Children’s Hospital, physicians learn advanced surgical techniques for children and adolescents with rare brain tumors, epilepsy, Chiari malformations and urgent trauma or stroke injuries.
Peripheral Nerve
This multidisciplinary subspecialty includes treatment of peripheral nerve conditions, including carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar nerve entrapment and traumatic nerve injuries.
Skull Base
This program combines the expertise of multidisciplinary specialists and advanced approaches for disorders such as cranial base tumors, vascular conditions and facial trauma.
Spine Disorders
This subspecialty focuses on spinal disorders that affect health and productivity and includes comprehensive spine care for conditions that may not require surgery.
