Internationally renowned education programs
The reputation of Ohio State’s educational programs is gaining national and international attention as a result of positively reviewed presentations and resident and fellow participation in national and international conferences. The department has continued to enhance communication with the community faculty through social events, a monthly community faculty meeting and a city-wide morbidity and mortality conference. We have also been actively involved in a local professional society, the Columbus Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Every year, Ohio State’s internationally renowned visiting professors offer broad and diverse insights for students through our weekly didactic resident conference. Visiting professors are also encouraged to speak at the Columbus Society of Plastic Surgeons meeting, which highlights what Ohio State’s Department of Plastic Surgery has to offer the community.
Plastic Surgery Residency Programs
At The Ohio State University Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, we thrive on educating tomorrow's surgeons. During the course of a six-year integrated residency or three-year independent residency, the resident will be able to learn a wide breath of reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery procedures under the mentorship of our skilled attending surgeons and visiting professors.
Microsurgery Fellowship
The Microsurgery Fellowship at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center offers a comprehensive and high-volume experience in microsurgical reconstruction. The program is one year in duration and participates in the Microsurgery Match.
