The program is a one year residency that provides post-professional education and clinical experience in sports medicine orthopaedics for licensed and certified athletic trainers.
The resident will complete four rotations with our physician and physician assistant teams (shoulder/elbow, knee, hip and foot/ankle). Once state licensed as an athletic trainer and certified as an orthopaedic technologist, the resident will become further immersed in patient care settings in the clinic and operating room. In addition, six hours per week are dedicated to academic standards that include:

- Attendance and presentation at orthopedic educational meetings
- Grand Rounds
- Journal club
- Sports Medicine Symposia
- Orthopedic Team Meetings
