Didactic learning is offered primarily through weekly residency conferences and overlaps with our sports residency program to provide a comprehensive curriculum. Guided research activity is threaded throughout the program with the residents choosing a project based on their interests and available resources.
Curricular components of the Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency:
Clinical Practice
- One-one-one Mentoring 2-3 hours/week
- Non-mentored 30 hours/week
Didactic
- Weekly Residency Conference 1 hour/week
- Journal Club 1 hour/month
- Advanced Topics in Ortho PT Course 24 hours/year
- CSM 24 hours/year
Teaching
- MSK Lab Assistant 6 hours/week for 2 semesters
