Project Title: EDGE Consortium: Randomized Control Trial Comparing Surgical Outcomes Following PCNL and Mini PCNL in the Treatment of Kidney Stones

Description: With technology evolving rapidly and constantly, it is up to us to ensure we are using the best products possible for our patients! This multi-institutional trial is comparing the two commonly used treatment techniques for stone treatment.
Project Title: M16-100: Testosterone Replacement therapy for Assessment of long-term Vascular Events and efficacy ResponSE in hypogonadal men (TRAVERSE) Study

Description: This is a multi-site clinical trial investigating Testosterone Replacement Therapy use of Androgel on Hypogonadal (low testosterone levels) men with or at risk for cardiovascular disease.
Project Title: A Multi-Center Study of Pelvic Fracture Urethral Injury

Description: This is a multi-institutional clinical trial comparing the practice of early urethral realignment and urinary diversion with a suprapubic tube with a planned delayed urethroplasty. Both forms of treatment are currently considered “standard of care” treatment for urethral injuries, but this trial aims to determine if one has better outcomes than the other.
Project Title: Exploration of Urologic Healthcare: Perceptions, Prevalence, and Barriers to Care

Description: This is a multi-dimensional research study looking at patient’s perceived barriers to obtaining health care as well as evaluating the current abilities of our Urology resident and medical student trainees in dealing with different cultural obstacles when treating patients. We partner with Physicians CareConnection free clinic (LINK) in downtown Columbus.

Project Title: Driving Factors for Patient Discontinuation of Treatment with Intradetrusor OnabotulinumtoxinA Injection

Description: Botox is a common treatment provided at The Ohio State University in the treatment and management of Overactive Bladder (OAB) and Neurogenic Bladder. Unfortunately, dropout rates are very high. This study is looking to determine the cause for patients discontinuing their Botox treatments.
Project Title: 2020-URO-01: A Prospective, Multicenter, Post-Market Clinical Registry to Collect Real-World Evidence on the Clinical Performance of SOLTIVE™ Laser for Treatment of Kidney or Ureteral Stones

Description: Kidney stones are a common urologic program that can be treated with lasers to help break up the stone to make it easier to remove/pass. This registry is a clinical database for clinical information from patients treated with the SOLTIVE laser.
