Selecting your Commit to Enroll school
In the spring, you will have the option of selecting “Plan to Enroll” or “Commit to Enroll.” By selecting “Commit to Enroll,” you indicate that you have made a final decision and, at this point, you are expected to withdraw your acceptance(s) from all other schools.
If our school is your first choice, we ask that you indicate this action as soon as possible by selecting the “Commit to Enroll” action in AMCAS. This confirms that you have made your final decision, you are holding only one acceptance, and you have withdrawn all other applications, including waitlist positions.
Deadlines to select Commit to Enroll
Commit to Enroll becomes available in the AAMC Choose Your Medical School Tool on April 30. Applicants who plan to attend Ohio State should choose Commit to Enroll by the dates below.
- June, 24, 2024: Three - Year Primary Care Track applicants who plan to attend Ohio State
- July 15, 2024: MD program and the Community Medicine MD Track applicants who plan to attend Ohio State
- April 22, 2024: Applicants must notify the MSTP in writing of their plan to Commit to Enroll. When Commit to Enroll becomes available April 30, applicants who plan to attend Ohio State should mark Commit to Enroll.
Selecting “Commit to Enroll” indicates an applicant has made a final decision. You must withdraw all other applications, including those where you remain on a waitlist.
Withdrawal Process
Accepted Students are expected to notify the College of Medicine via email anytime during the application process of their decision to register in another medical school at medicine@osu.edu.
