After you are accepted to the Ohio State College of Medicine, there are important steps you can take to prepare for the next step in your admissions process:

Current Applicants

Once you received an email from Vitals with your login credentials (this is different than your lastname.#), you can check your application status by visiting: http://vitals.osumc.edu.

Selecting your Commit to Enroll school

In the spring, you will have the option of selecting “Plan to Enroll” or “Commit to Enroll.” By selecting “Commit to Enroll,” you indicate that you have made a final decision and, at this point, you are expected to withdraw your acceptance(s) from all other schools.

If our school is your first choice, we ask that you indicate this action as soon as possible by selecting the “Commit to Enroll” action in AMCAS. This confirms that you have made your final decision, you are holding only one acceptance, and you have withdrawn all other applications, including waitlist positions.

Deadlines to select Commit to Enroll

  • June 24, 2019: Three year primary care track applicants who plan to attend Ohio State
  • July 15, 2019: Applicants to MD program who plan to attend Ohio State.

By choosing “Commit to Enroll” you must also withdraw from all waitlists on which you remain and from any other acceptances you are holding to indicate your final decision to attend our school.

Withdrawal Process

Accepted Students are expected to notify the College of Medicine via email anytime during the application process of their decision to register in another medical school by email at medicine@osu.edu.
