Overview 

Advanced Competencies provide individualized education with in-depth experiences tailored to allow students to excel in a competency domain. The AC in Global Health will prepare students for future global health elective experiences or work in a low-resource setting either in the US or internationally. Throughout the course, presentations will highlight the social, economic and environmental factors that are important determinants of health in every community. Faculty from different disciplines will provide students with multiple perspectives and will relate personal experience that will help students prepare for their practicum.
