Our Giving Opportunities

The Gerard S. Kakos MD and Thomas E. Williams, Jr., MD, PhD, Professorship Established April 6, 2012, with gifts from Gerard Kakos, MD, of Columbus, Ohio and gifts given in honor of Thomas E. Williams, MD. A portion of the interest from this endowment is used for a professorship position in the Division of Cardiac Surgery in the Department of Surgery.
Research in Cardiac Surgery Fund Supports research in cardiac surgery to include but not limited to research, education, training, patient care, equipment, staffing and conferences (CME).
Minimally Invasive Heart Surgery Supports robotic heart surgery in the Division of Cardiac Surgery, including but not limited to research, education, training, patient care, equipment, staffing and conferences.
Cardiac Surgery Support Fund Provides unrestricted support (non-CME) for the Division of Cardiac Surgery, including but not limited to research, education, training, patient care, equipment, staffing and conferences.
Cardiac Fellowship Fund To support the Cardiac Surgery Fellowship program, including but not limited to training, expenses and salaries for the program.
Cardiac Research Fund To support cardiac surgery research, including but not limited to research, education, training, equipment and conferences.
Cardiac Surgery Patient Appreciation Fund Supports any program in cardiac surgery as determined by the director of the Division of Cardiac Surgery.
Cardiac Surgery Education Fund Supports educational activities (non-CME) for the Division of Cardiac Surgery, including but not limited to travel, lodging, space/equipment rental, food, speaker/conference fees and mailing.
