Our Psychology Internship curriculum provides faculty mentoring in clinician-scientist values and practices.

From the Directors of Clinical Psychology Training

Welcome to The Ohio State University Neurological Institute and the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center—and an especially warm welcome from our Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health.

Our internship program is fully accredited by the American Psychological Association* and our Clinical Health Psychology Track is a member of the Council of Clinical Health Psychology Training Programs. The program was established in 2014 when we matched with two applicants for our health psychology track. We have since grown to 10 interns and three tracks: Adult Psychopathology (EPICENTER, Mood, Anxiety, and Mindfulness, and STRIVE), Clinical Health Psychology, and Neuropsychology/Neuroscience. Our growth speaks to the support from our departmental administration which embraces a vision of academic preeminence and a comprehensive system of behavioral health care that is committed to the public health, service integration, evidence-based practice, and the delivery of value-based clinical services.

If you are not yet familiar with us, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is one of the largest academic medical centers in the country and the only academic medical center in central Ohio. For more than 20 years, we have been consistently honored by U.S.News & World Report as one of the top hospitals in the country.

Interns will find a wealth of resources for both clinical and research experiences. Our internship is further enriched by the contiguous location of our medical center with The Ohio State University main campus and our location within the thriving city of Columbus. I encourage you to browse the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health and The Ohio State University web pages to familiarize yourself with these resources.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions about the internship or application process.

Sincerely,
Cheryl Carmin, PhD
