The Ohio State’s Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition is a nationally recognized leader in digestive health, committed to advancing care through innovation, research, and education. Our mission is to improve outcomes for patients with gastrointestinal, liver and nutritional disorders by offering cutting-edge therapies, participating in active clinical trials, and fostering a culture of academic excellence.
We provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for a wide range of conditions, including:
- Colorectal and small bowel diseases
- Complex endoscopic needs
- Esophageal and motility disorders
- Functional GI disorders (e.g., IBS, gastroparesis)
- Gastrointestinal bleeding
- GI cancers and pre-cancerous conditions
- Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
- Liver diseases such as hepatitis, cirrhosis, and fatty liver disease
- Pancreaticobiliary disorders
Our division consists of 45 faculty members and is supported by over $5 million in active research funding, reflecting our strong commitment to translational, clinical research and innovation. We have expanded our clinical footprint across Columbus, including new endoscopy locations that enhance access and convenience for patients throughout the region.
