If you're looking for excellence in medicine, you'll find it right here in the training programs within the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. Our faculty and fellows proudly uphold a strong tradition of excellence in clinical medicine and an innovative teaching environment.

Our division has undergone significant growth in faculty, facilities and research opportunities in the last several years, enabling us to expand our clinical services in the community. Our total number of faculty has doubled over the last five years with several members attaining regional and national recognition for their expertise. The overall number of endoscopic procedures continues to increase each year, with especially rapid growth in advanced procedures like ERCP and EUS.

Fellowship Programs

The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition's fellowship programs offer tremendous clinical training with an opportunity to succeed in research. Clinical as well as basic science research opportunities are plentiful. Each fellow receives protected research time to implement and record his or her hypotheses. Faculty mentors assist in project creation as well as abstract and manuscript submission.

Our fellows have had success presenting abstracts at national meetings as well as publishing manuscripts in premier peer-reviewed journals. In addition to research support within our own division, the Center for Clinical and Translational Sciences provides assistance with education, protocols and funding. In addition to these achievements, our fellows have had a 100% board pass rate for the past 11 years!

Our graduates are highly competitive for academic and community positions. Previous success has enabled us to retain several of our recent trainees as faculty. We trust that you will find Ohio State a vibrant and attractive environment to advance your career aspirations.
