Meet our administrative staff
Administrators in the Department of Internal Medicine are responsible for a broad range of functions, including coordination of educational programs, fiscal and human resource management, policy development, information systems management, intern recruitment, space and equipment management and renovation projects. Below, you can find our administrative staff for the Department of Internal Medicine, as well as the administrative staff for each division.
Tim Rumfield, MA, MHA
Senior Department Administrator – Department of Internal Medicine, Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
Tim Rumfield is a senior healthcare executive with over 23 years of progressive administrative leadership experience in academic medicine, public health, and dentistry. As Senior Department Administrator for the Department of Internal Medicine, he directs all business, educational, research, clinical, and administrative operations for the largest department at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Tim oversees a $330 million budget, supporting 12 divisions, more than 700 faculty, 320 fellows and residents, and over 650 clinical and administrative staff members.
He is recognized for his expertise in strategic planning, financial analysis, operational efficiency, and faculty recruitment. Tim has held key leadership roles within the Department of Internal Medicine, including Division Administrator for Hematology and Oncology, Cardiovascular Medicine, and Gastroenterology, as well as administrative leadership positions at the College of Dentistry and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He holds a Master of Health Administration and a Master of Arts in Sociology from Ohio University.
In addition to his civilian career, Tim served as a commissioned officer in the United States Navy Reserve, retiring at the rank of Commander (O5) after 20 years of service.
Natalie Clum, MBA
Associate Director – Department of Internal Medicine, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical CenterNatalie Clum is an accomplished healthcare administration leader with over 17 years of progressive experience, including 13 years at academic medical centers. As Associate Director, she oversees the divisions of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism, Human Genetics, Immunology & Rheumatology, Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Palliative Medicine, and Faculty Affairs within the Department of Internal Medicine. Natalie partners with senior leadership to drive strategic and administrative initiatives, providing direction and expertise in departmental operations, policy development, and faculty recruitment.
She plays a key role in faculty affairs, guiding the recruitment and onboarding of 70–100 new faculty members each year, and is dedicated to mentoring and developing division administrators throughout the department. Natalie’s background includes extensive experience in budget management, strategic planning, and operational excellence. She holds an MBA with a concentration in Health Care Management and Administration from The University of Akron and is active in professional organizations such as the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine and The Ohio State University Association of Staff and Faculty Women.
Wade Moore
Senior Finance Manager – Department of Internal MedicineThe Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
Wade Moore is an accomplished healthcare administration leader with more than 27 years of progressive experience, including 17 years in academic medical centers. As Senior Finance Manager, he directs all financial operations for the Department of Internal Medicine and its 13 divisions, including budgeting, accounting, reporting, analysis, and supply chain management.
In partnership with senior leaders, Wade provides expertise in operational efficiency, development, strategy, and compliance to advance the financial and strategic objectives of the organization.
Wade continually strives to simplify the department’s financial structure, to the extent possible, within the framework of a large and complex organization with a tripartite mission. This work is critical to ensuring robust decision support and a uniform understanding across business units and multiple levels of leadership.
His background includes extensive experience in comprehensive financial operations, management, and strategic planning. Wade holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Finance from The Ohio State University and is a member of the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine. He also volunteers with nonprofit organizations in Central Ohio that support health, social, and animal welfare missions.
Kristin (Kiki) Chamberlain
Program Director of Education – Department of Internal MedicineThe Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
Kiki Chamberlain is a seasoned leader in Graduate Medical Education with more than 20 years of experience at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Currently serving as Program Director of Education in the Department of Internal Medicine since 2019, Kiki oversees the daily operations of Resident and Fellowship Affairs, Medical Student Education, Moonlighting, and Department Grand Rounds.
She provides strategic support and oversight for all Internal Medicine education programs, ensuring compliance with GME and ACGME requirements, and partners with senior educational leadership to advance program excellence.
Kiki holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She is an active member of OSU Graduate Medical Education, Central Ohio Program Administrators, and the Association of Program Directors in Internal Medicine (APDIM), having presented at each organization’s annual meetings on numerous occasions.
In 2023, Kiki was awarded the OSUWMC Values in Action Award, which recognizes team members who create and sustain a culture that inspires the workforce to live the organizational values of Inclusiveness, Determination, Empathy, Sincerity, Ownership, and Innovation.
