OSU Internal Medicine Program Requirements (NOTE: These are OSU requirements, not DoD):
- All applicants should submit the following to be considered for an interview:
- Current CV
- Transcript
- USMLE / COMLEX transcript
- Personal Statement
- 3-4 Letters of Recommendation
- MSPE if/when available
- All documents should be uploaded in MODS as well as emailed to Maddy Hennessy (Madalyn.Hennessy@osumc.edu) no later than August 15th so we can review and issue interview invitations.
- We will hold several group interview days which will be communicated to the applicants after determining if we will be offering them an interview.
- Interview dates will most likely be held in September.
Timeline (dates are approximate):
- July 1 – Results are posted online at the AF GME website, and a call for applicants
- Applicants should begin scheduling site visits, uploading application materials, etc.
- August 31 – Window closes for submitting initial DoD GME application and CV into MODS
- October 8 – Last day for applicants to complete their interviews with respective programs
- October 15 – Last day for training location preference changes and last day for program directors to enter their interview results into MODS
- October 25 – “Scoring Week” begins
- November 15 – Joint Services GME Selection Board (JSGMESB) convenes to select applicants and match them to programs via the “military match”
- December 8 – “Military Match” results released and applicants given ~1 week to sign/decline
- January 15 – GME acceptance letters due to AF Physician Education
