General Medicine Teaching and Research Fund Supporting academic and clinical programs in the Division of General Internal Medicine

Healthy at Home/House Calls Program Fund Supporting the Healthy at Home/House Calls Program in the Division of General Internal Medicine to facilitate the care of disabled patients and allow the program to increase the number of patients served.

Geriatrics and Gerontology Research Development Fund Supporting geriatrics and gerontology research.

General Internal Medicine Housestaff Clinic Fund Supporting educational, clinical and environmental aspects of the Residents' Continuity Clinic in the Department of Internal Medicine to allow delivery of first rate patient care.

Hypertension Research and Education Fund Supporting the education and advancement of basic and clinical research specific to hypertension, including but not limited to research equipment, personnel, supplies, training and education.

Dr. Evelyn E. Pintz, MD, Residency Program Endowed Fund Supporting the residency program in the Division of General Internal Medicine. Established April 7, 2017, with a gift from James J. Mohr.

Clinical Geriatrics Support Fund Supporting patient care, outreach, research and education and training in geriatrics on problems facing the elderly (such as polypharmacy and prescription drug reactions, dementia, diabetes, mobility and bone density and fragility, perioperative and longterm care).

Geriatrics and Gerontology Comprehensive Fund Supporting the Office of Geriatrics and Gerontology. Primarily for, but not limited to programming, education, research, patient care, general operating and recruitment, as directed by the program director.

Complex Care Program Support Fund Established in 2025, this supports the Complex Care Program, a multi-disciplinary service designed to provide primary and preventive care for young adults with chronic conditions. The program lets them transition smoothly from pediatric to adult medical care and facilities by coordinating care with outpatient and inpatient specialists.

Barry Friedman, MD, Scholarship Fund in General Internal Medicine Established September 22, 2006, with support from Stephen Strasser, PhD. Distribution provides merit and need-based scholarships to medical students with an interest in this specialty.

The General Internal Medicine Research Fund Established August 29, 2001 by faculty of the Department of Internal Medicine. Income provides awards to active faculty of the Division of General Internal Medicine.

The Peggy S. Cuthbert, MD, Scholarship Fund in Primary Care Medicine Established April 6, 1999, by her husband, infant son, family, friends and colleagues in her memory and honor. Income supports a scholarship or related medical educational expenses, based on merit and need, preferably, for the same medical student each year.

The Barry M. Friedman Student Travel Award Established March 5, 1999, by family, friends, patients and colleagues of Dr. Friedman, an assistant professor of internal medicine, through The Foundation. Income provides awards to third and fourth-year medical students to attend conferences and meetings relating to general internal medicine or geriatrics.

Intergenerational Center Fund Supporting the Intergenerational Center, which operates as a university and community partnership serving children, adults and caregivers throughout central Ohio.
