Structure of IDEA-RAD: We are a team of over 40 people working towards the mission of IDEA-RAD. There are 4 taskforces reporting to the Vice Chair of IDEA-RAD, each with representation from diverse individuals who are passionate about diversity.

Mohammed IsmailVice Chair - Mohammed Ismail, DO
Mohammed Ismail serves as the vice chair of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. He oversees the work of the taskforces and works with taskforce co-chairs to further the mission of IDEA-RAD. Dr. Ismail also serves as a liaison between the Department of Radiology and leadership at the medical center, and with other diversity leaders to align resources and exchange ideas.

Identify and develop best practices around recruitment and retention of a diverse radiology workforce, including focusing on building a pipeline of diverse trainees in radiology as well as developing a toolkit of resources for the department around these issues.

To establish and maintain communication with other IDEA-RAD committee members, diversity groups and initiatives at other institutions via social media channels to champion DEI efforts and engage in ongoing dialogue.  Publish content related to DEI on the department website and provide relevant resources.

To organize and deliver DEI related programming including guest speakers, panel discussions, training workshops and educational sessions for trainees, faculty and staff etc. Work with leaders both at OSU and other organizations to plan educational activities.
