People

Executive Council: The Executive Council is made up of twelve positions elected by the Institutional Representatives during the APSA Annual Meeting in April of each year. These positions are the only members of the Executive Council with voting privileges. The committee vice-chairs are included as non-voting members of the Executive Council and are appointed to their positions by the Executive Council. The vice-chairs may in the absence of the committee chair serve as the proxy vote.

Standing Committees: APSA is led by five standing committees whose chairs are elected and are members of the executive council. Members of the standing committees consist of current medical and MD-PhD students. Appointments to the Standing Committees are made through the Chair and Vice-Chair of the individual committees in conjunction with the Executive Council.

Institutional Representatives: If you would like to serve as a liaison between the students at your institution and APSA to help us gain a better grasp of the wants and needs of the students at your institution, consider applying.
