The Martha and Milton Staub have been very supportive of the Ophthalmology Department making gifts that made possible staff recruitment, state-of-the-art equipment and enhanced morale among the faculty and staff.

The couple made possible additional research capabilities in the department through the establishment of the Martha G. and Milton Staub Chair for Research in Ophthalmology in December 1982.    Income from this fund supports a distinguished researcher in ophthalmology.

The Staubs were very involved in many community projects, including the Martha G. Staub Special Care Pavilion at Heritage House, a cardiac catherization laboratory and remodeling of Talbot Hall at Saint Anthony Medical Center.  Martha Staub volunteered for over 25 years at St. Anthony. Milton Staub began his college education in Akron, then continued at Ohio State.   He was president of the Gustav Hirsch Organization.
