Find out why our residents chose Ohio State

We are proud of our diverse house staff who currently come from approximately 60 medical schools across the nation. While they are dedicated to patient care and learning, our residents also have a sense of adventure and have rich lives outside the workplace. Find out from our residents what makes Ohio State's Internal Medicine Residency Program unique.

Hear why our residents love Columbus, Ohio!

The centerpiece of our growing potential for health care and research is the new, 1.9-million-square-foot, 820-bed inpatient hospital tower. It is expected to open in 2026. Care within the tower will enhance our capacity for cutting-edge research, outstanding clinical training and world-class patient care. It is the largest single facilities project in Ohio State’s history, and when complete, it will serve as a reflection of your extraordinary work and commitment to improving health and well-being for many years to come.

The new, 305,000-square-foot Interdisciplinary Research Facility opened in summer 2023. This project is an anchor for Ohio State’s future West Campus Innovation District and provided a modern environment to serve multiple research disciplines, including providing a home for the new Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology.
