Department of Radiology’s advancements in imaging science

Imaging science is dedicated to exploring and advancing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT), positron emission tomography (PET) and X-ray. The main interests of the group are neuro-degenerative imaging, sports medicine and joint imaging, and molecular imaging for oncology and other applications.

Center for Imaging Excellence

The Center for Imaging Excellence received a $9.1 million Third Frontier Grant from Ohio Governor Bob Taft and $8 million from BRTT (the Biomedical Research and Technology Transfer award) to create The Center for Imaging Excellence. The project is also known as the Biomedical Structural, Functional and Molecular Imaging Enterprise.
