The Center for Imaging Excellence (CIE) is a research division of the department of radiology focused on developing, expanding, and advancing the use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), and positron emission tomography (PET). The CIE consists of seven faculty and their staff plus collaborating scientists, physicians, engineers, clinicians, and learners from across the university, medical centers, and in private industry, all working to accelerate translational research, innovation, and learning in biomedical engineering. The center also provides education and training for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers in the field of imaging research.

Our mission

Develop new methodologies and processes for imaging that can be rapidly translated to practice at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and in health systems across the world.
