Our Mission
Within the Biomedical Informatics Department, the Division of Clinical Informatics and Implementation Science is dedicated to:
- Improving the health of patients throughout the medical center and community through intelligent and innovative use of technology and data;
- Building a bridge between basic science informatics research and applied clinical informatics; (working at the intersection of basic science informatics research and applied clinical informatics)
- Pursuing innovative research in applied clinical informatics within the medical center;
- Recruiting and retaining an interdisciplinary group of engaged faculty;
- Educating undergraduates and graduate students in clinical informatics and implementation science;
- Fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, and shared goals; working seamlessly with existing informatics infrastructure
