Whether you're returning to celebrate your 5th, 25th, or 50th reunion, the College of Medicine looks forward to welcoming alumni back to campus.

In 2018, we will be celebrating reunion years 1953, 1958, 1963, 1968, 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993, 1998, 2003, 2008, 2013

Friday, October 5

  • – 11 a.m.
  • Center for Bioethics 4th Annual Medical Ethics Conference
    • College of Medicine alumni have the opportunity to attend the full (Thursday and Friday) or partial conference (Friday morning) at a discounted rate.

  • 12 – 2 p.m.
  • Class of 1968 50th Class Luncheon: The Class of 1968 is invited to attend a special celebration luncheon in honor of their 50th class reunion. Classmates will be individually recognized and presented with a milestone memento to commemorate the occasion.
    • Location: The Ross Heart Hospital Auditorium

  • 12 – 1:30 p.m. 
  • Clotilde Dent Bowen, MD, Lunch & Lecture: Join us for lunch and a lecture featuring the Clotilde Dent Bowen, MD Visiting Professor for Inclusive Excellence - Joan Reede, Dean for Diversity and Community Partnership at Harvard Medical School. The annual Bowen Award and Scholarship Recipient will also be recognized. This program is coordinated by the Office for Diversity and Inclusion in partnership with the College of Medicine Alumni Affairs Office.
    • Location: the James Conference Center 

1:30 – 3 p.m.
    • Open houses and Self-Guided Tours
      • Visit the Clinical Skills Education & Assessment Center in Prior Hall. Learn about and see the state-of-the-art training center simulating actual patient care experiences. Staff will be available during this time to talk about the center and answer questions. This is an open house. 
        • Stop by the Medical Heritage Center in Prior Hall to learn about their collection – highlighting the 100+ years of Ohio State’s College of Medicine history and beyond! Staff will be on hand to talk about the center and answer questions. This is an open house. No formal program.
        • Stop by the Meditation Room in Meiling Hall – created and supported by the generosity of the Class of 1973 (4 Year Program). Students will be on hand to talk about the space and answer questions. Thiss is an open house. 
      • Walk around campus to see how things have changed - self guided tour

    •  4:30 p.m.
    • State of the College: The Ohio State University College of Medicine is a place where transformative ideas are born. Hosted by Dean Kent, join us for an annual update on the current state of the College of Medicine. Alumni will hear from leaders and students about research happening in the college, what medical education looks like today, and the Dean's vision for the future. 
    • Location: Clinical Skills Lab

    •  9 p.m.
    • Reunion Class Socials: Join fellow classmates for an evening of reconnecting and mingling. Classes will gather at various locations. Registration is required.
              • Classes in the 50's-70's will gather at The James Conference Center (460 W. 10th Ave, Columbus, OH 43210)
              • Classes in the 80's - 10's will gather at local restaurant in downtown Columbus. Stay tuned for more information!

    Saturday, October 6

    • College of Medicine Buckeye Tailgate
    • Location: Meiling Hall Lobby and Hippocrates Plaza
    • 3:30pm or 4 p.m.
    • Ohio State Buckeyes vs. The Indiana State University Hoosiers
        • ​​Location: Ohio Stadium

Reservations can be made by calling the Hyatt Place at 888-492-8847 or by visiting the hotel website HERE​. Reservations must be made by September 4 to receive the group rate. 

The group rate is available for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night stays.

Booking information to receive group rate: 

  • Single night stay (code G-MEDC) $199 plus tax 
  • Multiple night stay (code G-MEDZ) $185 plus tax - two night minimum stay

Football Ticket Information

Tickets will be available for purchase during registration.

Please read through the following guidelines in order to obtain tickets to the OSU vs. Indiana game as part of the 2018 Medical Alumni Reunion:

  • Tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. A maximum of four tickets per alum.
  • Alumni purchasing tickets must be sustaining members of The Ohio State University Alumni Association, Inc.
    • To renew or become a sustaining member, alumni can make a minimum of a $75 donation to the Ohio State fund of their choice. Give now online to make a tax-deductible gift of $75 or more to the Ohio State College of Medicine fund of your choice. Click here to read more about Alumni Association membership.
    • You will be asked to donate $75 if you attempt to purchase football tickets without already being a sustaining member.
  • The person purchasing the tickets must be the person who uses the tickets. Anyone caught reselling their tickets may lose future rights to purchase football tickets through the Alumni Association and our Society.
  • Football tickets must be purchased in conjunction with a COM tailgate pass: In accordance with The Ohio State University Athletic Department and the Alumni Association, this is required. The cost of a football ticket and tailgate pass is $128. Guests may attend the tailgate-only without purchasing a football ticket. The cost of a tailgate only pass is $30.50 adult/$15.50 child.
  • Seating location is determined by the Athletics Office one week prior to Homecoming.
  • Seats are most often located in C Deck, requiring significant stair climbing. Accessible tickets are available upon request. Please make this request when you purchase your football tickets.
  • Football tickets will not be mailed in advance, and can only be picked up at the time of registration during the alumni weekend in Meiling Hall (College of Medicine).

    A shuttle will be running during Reunion weekend from the Hyatt Place to Meiling Hall. More information coming soon!

1968, 1973, and 1993 Class Memory Books

The College of Medicine Alumni Office would like to give the Medical Classes of 1993 (25th) and 1968 (50th) the gift of Class Memory Books - a collection of memories from your time in medical school as well as current updates on professional accomplishments and personal lives.
