The Alumni Service Award is given annually to an alumnus who has displayed an extraordinary level of commitment and service to the College of Medicine or The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Standards for recognition include one or more of the following:

Level of commitment: The committee will evaluate the level of dedication to the Ohio  State Wexner Medical Center, the depth of involvement, and the amount of time committed by the volunteer. Service of all types is considered, whether it is spending time with students at the College of Medicine, providing leadership for issues relevant to the Ohio State Medical Center or serving in a unique capacity

Support of the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center or College of Medicine: The committee will look for service that helps preserve, maintain and promote the traditions of the institution.

Impact: Volunteers’ service also will be evaluated based on its impact on the university and/or the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center.
