The mission of the Medical Alumni Society is to maintain and foster relationships to support the advancement of The Ohio State University College of Medicine through service, engagement and communication with MD, resident and fellow graduates, faculty and current students.

With more than 18,000 living medical alumni, the Medical Alumni Affairs office works to engage MD, PhD, resident and fellow graduates in the life of the college. Each MD, resident and fellow alumnus is a member of the Medical Alumni Society upon completing their degree and is invited to participate in events, programs and communications supporting the college. Alumni involvement and philanthropy is critical to upholding the college's reputation and preparing for the physicians of tomorrow.

The Medical Alumni Society Board of Governors is a voluntary advisory group of alumni physicians from across the country. The board helps to support the mission of The Ohio State University College of Medicine by helping the Alumni Office in creating long lasting mutually beneficial relationships to advance the College of Medicine and Wexner Medical Center by connecting alumni with students, the college and friends of the college.
