i2b2 is a self-service resource allowing researchers to conduct feasibility studies using a coded-limited dataset sourced from the EHR. Querying i2b2 provides aggregate data without submitting the request to an Honest Broker.
Using the SCARLET standard registry framework, RIT collaborates with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Information Warehouse to collect disease-specific data from the EHR into a self-service querying interface for researchers. The Secondary Data Core (SDC) is a shared resource for The Ohio State University researchers that stores and synthesizes large-scale clinical datasets on an analytic platform. Through the SDC, researchers can use data such as Truven Marketscan, the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project, and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Claims, or they can request to add their own data to the SDC.
